I first saw this saying on Facebook last week and it really caused me to pause and think. An abbreviation that seems to be so logical, yet I had never really thought about it that way. It sure did get me thinking though. How many times have I been stressed and overwhelmed? How many times has it been because I didn't think that asking for help was ok, or thought I could do it by myself. Or that I had to do it by myself?
When we find ourselves stressed or overwhelmed, it might pay to practice the pause. Just take a moment, recognise that we are trying to do it all on our own, then take that deep breath and ask for help. Asking for help is not a weakness, it is a sign of strength. A sign that we know our limits and we respect and love ourselves enough to do what's in our best interest.
