It has been interesting times since my last newsletter. There has been a lot going on, personally, professionally and energetically. To start with, my husband had 4 weeks off work recovering from unexpected but necessary surgery for an inguinal hernia repair. One of the things this allowed was a wonderful time of re-connection and family time, and has provided opportunities for us to just "be", both alone and together.
I had a little spare time (a real rarity) and worked on planning the Reiki Level 2 course I have earmarked for the end of May. I had a couple of questions and phoned Annie, the Master with whom I did my level 2, to ask about some of the exercises we did during her workshop as I wanted to incorporate them into mine. Long story short, she offered to attune me as a Tibetan-Usui Reiki Master. I did not hesitate. I had experienced the Tibetan energy at level 2 and remembered that it resonated differently within me, and was softer, yet more powerful. With the attunement scheduled for Thursday March 12th, only 4 days later, I set about preparing myself. Those 4 days disappeared in a blur as the energy began to make it's presence felt. The attunement was wonderful and I have been left with a feeling of overwhelming peace. Those who have experienced a treatment from me since, report that this energy feels more refined and gentle and allows a more profound healing to take place.
There is always a cleansing and integration period after an attunement and I can say that during the last couple of weeks I have experienced some deep healing on "stuff" from my childhood and my teenage years I thought I had healed long ago. It's wonderful how new energy can uncover different aspects that still need to be released. The power of Reiki continues to amaze me. I am feeling truly blessed.
