How many of you are comfortable saying "no"? A lot of people aren't. There is a strong belief among us, as humans, that we need to be accommodating, that we need to keep everyone else happy. And we quite often do this at the expense of our own well-being and our sanity.
What if I told you, that the most loving thing you can do for yourself, is to follow your heart and guidance? That if you tune in to your heart, the seat of your soul, you would find the things that truly resonate, the things that truly make you happy. And what if I reminded you, that you matter. You are important. And you deserve time for you.
One of the best ways we can be of service to others, is to take care of ourselves first. When our cup is full, as it were, we are assisting others from the overflow, so that our energy is never depleted. When our cup is overflowing, we have oodles of energy to spare, and we can assist in more ways than we thought possible.
Place your hand on your heart, taking 2 or 3 deep breaths, bringing your awareness to the space under your hand. Feel deeply into your heart. Ask yourself, what do I need right now? I welcome you to honour yourself, and do what your soul truly desires.
Much love
