With all of this going on, it is feeling more important than ever to have a daily spiritual practice - a practice that truly resonates for you. If you are in the beginning stages of your journey, you may not yet have a practice, and that's okay. A daily practice may contain one or more of the following things - or something completely different :)
- Short guided (or healing) Meditation
- Journaling
- Clearing and Protecting your energy field for the day ahead, or at the end of the day
- Self Reiki / self healing practice
- An undisturbed time with a drink, taken outside in the garden, or in a quiet space inside
- Intention setting
- Channeling
- Yoga, or other exercise
- Anything else that feels right for you
Sharing my practice may bring inspiration for establishing your own practice.
My practice begins with an invocation that was shared awhile back by Patricia Cota-Robles at www.eraofpeace.org on one of her weekly VLOGs.
I AM my I AM presence and I AM one with the I AM presence of all humanity
In infinite gratitude I accept my gift of life
I ask my I AM presence to consecrate every word, thought, feeling and action I express today with divine love, and infinite gratitude that I may add my light to the world.
And so it is.
I ground and centre myself and begin a 20-30 minute self-Reiki practice. I have been doing this daily for 11 years now, and the balance and calm it brings to my day is immeasurable. Occasionally I listen to healing / solfeggio frequencies on the Insight Timer app while I am doing this for extra "oomph".
I then Set My Rules for the day, and connect in with my "Team".
"I command in the totality of the God/Goddess that I AM, that only those beings of light who are here for my highest and greatest good, and who have permission of those from my home who are here to assist me, are allowed to communicate to me, through me, and be in my energy field, and So be it."
After the school run, if I have a little more time before work, I will enjoy a short healing meditation. Tim Whild has some good ones, as does Diana Cooper, and Steve Nobel.
I often enjoy channeling for myself in this time slot too.
At the end of the day, I call upon Archangel Michael to bring his flaming blue sword, to remove any energies from my field that are not mine, and to remove any cords and attachments that are no longer serving me.
As I settle into bed, I call in my guides asking them to protect my physical body overnight (while I am "working" elsewhere), and place my hands on my body for healing as I drift off to sleep.
You do not need to do many things to have an effective spiritual practice. One activity done with consistency and regularity will yield many benefits. It is about finding something that resonates with you, and being open to adjusting if and when you are guided to.
Do reach out if you would like support to begin your daily practice. You will wonder how you managed without one.
Much love x
