There are different types of meditation. Maybe you wish to try a few to see which one you prefer?
Loving-kindness meditation
This type of meditation focuses on cultivating feelings of loving-kindness to other people, even someone we would prefer not to interact with
Body scan or progressive relaxation
During this process, we are encouraged to scan our body from the top to the bottom (or the other way up) for tension areas and then breathe to release that tension.
Mindfulness meditation
This type of meditation allows us to focus solely on the present instead of thinking about past or upcoming events or circumstances .
Breath awareness meditation
This meditation type brings complete focus to our breathing, counting our breaths while breathing in slowly and deeply.
Transcendental meditation
This type of meditation is spiritual in nature, encouraging practitioners to focus on rising above their current state of being.
Guided Journey meditation
This type of meditation can combine body scan or breath meditaton with a journey. We may choose to visit a place that brings calm or happiness, or we may choose to meet our team of light / spiritual helpers / guides, chat with our younger self, or visit a healing or crystal temple for example.
